Full-Power Mothering

What if the greatest gift you could give your family was your own aliveness and fulfilment?

So many mothers I work with are caught in a never-ending cycle of self-sacrifice. They're putting aside their own needs again and again to show up for their kids, their partners.

It's what they believe it means to be a great mum.

But there is a cost. Burnout, exhaustion, resentment, loneliness. These mamas are bracing their way through their days until eventually something breaks.

They think it's their fault. It's not.

The problem isn't them, it's the paradigm. It's the outdated social programming that equates self-sacrifice with love. That the more exhausted you are, the more devoted you must be. Depletion worn as a badge of honour.

As a somatic therapist for mamas, I see this everywhere. And I see how it affects their kids too. These kids growing up with a martyr that they are internalising as a map.

It was my devotion to my son's wellbeing that led me to discover how much be depended on me to be well.

🧠 From conception to 3 years old, a mama's internal state she relates to her child from shapes how their brain and nervous system develop.

🧭 Until 7 years old, kids absorb everything around them without a filter. This becomes their embodied map for life.

At first, I met these findings with a sense of pressure. Until I realised they contained the ultimate permission slip to commit to my healing, my joy and my fulfilment like never before 🌟

I had a responsibility to thrive, to live from a place inside myself I would be proud for him to emulate.

As a solo parent this felt even more vital. It became my obsession and took me on an epic journey to shift paradigm.

Mindset was just part of it. Insight just the beginning of a journey to embody what I now call Full-Power Mothering.
