We might try and hang on until our partner gets home, or the kids are finally asleep. We brace and our breathing gets more and more constrained. We feel unbearably trapped.
I remember this feeling so well. It was my daily life for a long time as a solo mama on the spectrum to one of the most intense kids I know…
And while I did find ways to create quiet space for myself by getting more support, it didn't stop the daily accumulation and my secret wish that my son was one of those calm and quiet kids. It didn't sit right within me. I kept digging for a better way.
And I found it! A completely different way of dealing with the relentless stimulation without having more breaks or needing my son to be different.
This is what I would love to share with you.
