Week 1: Seeing the pattern

We begin by telling the truth.

Where are you abandoning yourself?
Where are you overriding your body, your needs, your limits, your desires?
Where has this become so normal you barely see it anymore?

This week is about awareness, honesty, and the courage to see clearly.

Week 3: Meeting guilt, shame, and
the martyr myth

This week is about the emotional cost of choosing yourself.

We work with the guilt, shame, fear, and discomfort that can arise when you stop performing motherhood through overgiving and depletion.

This is where we begin breaking loyalty to the martyr mama identity.

Week 2: Reclaiming choice

Once you can see the pattern, you can begin interrupting it.

We explore where more choice, space, and support are already available to you than you may have realized — and what it takes to actually claim them.

This is where agency starts returning.

Week 4: Pleasure, energy, and
self-return

We turn toward what restores you.

This week is about integration, self-trust, and beginning to live from a new centre.

A note from me

I created The Mama Reset because this is not just work I teach — it is a path I have walked myself.

I know what it is to live in burnout from mothering.
To feel depleted, stretched thin, and disconnected from your own energy, pleasure, and joy.

And I know what it is to come back from that.

My approach is shaped by both research and lived experience — in my own life and in the lives of my clients.

I have gone from burnout to having more energy, capacity, and joy than ever before in my life, while still being a solo parent to a high-needs child.

That matters to me because this work is not about becoming less devoted to motherhood.
It is about no longer disappearing inside it.

And I believe deeply that this work needs to happen not only behind the closed door of the therapist’s clinic, but in community.

Because for so many mothers, this is not a personal failing.
It is a cultural one.

We have inherited a model of motherhood that normalises self-abandonment and calls it love.
That rewards depletion.
That romanticises martyrdom.
That teaches women to treat their own needs as optional.

FAQ

  • The program kicks off on May 2nd and completes on the 30th. The live calls will be on May 4th, 10th, 17th and 25th NZ time.

  • The calls will be held live on Zoom. Attending live is highly recommended, but recordings will also be available to participants.

  • Telegram is the secure messaging app we will be using to connect as a group, for transmissions between calls, giving and receiving support and weekly hot seat coaching.
